3 Things to Love About Delta Hotels by Marriott Riviera Nayarit
BY MARK CHESNUT
I recently paid a visit to Delta Hotels by Marriott Riviera Nayarit, an all-inclusive hotel in Mexico's Riviera Nayarit, near Puerto Vallarta. My full hotel review appears in TravelAge West, but here, I'm sharing my own unfiltered travel video of the hotel — as well as 5 things I liked about this property.
1. The Natural Beauty & Unique Setting
Most all-inclusive hotels in Mexico are set on sprawling, flat properties on the beach. That's not the case for the Delta Hotels by Marriott Riviera Nayarit. I loved the hillside setting of this hotel, and the way the roadways and walkways gently meander along the natural curves. Even the swimming pools seem to fit perfectly into this beautiful natural setting.
2. The Spectacular Views
Since the hotel rooms are set along the hillside, they offer some memorable views. Whenever I stood on the balcony of my room, I felt like I was in a tower or a low-flying airplane, with an expansive view of the surrounding flora. It's a great place for photography.
3. The Beautiful Hotel Spa
Hotel spas are one of my favorite things about travel, and the Tzicuri Spa provides an idyllic place for relaxation and rejuvenation. I enjoyed an excellent massage therapy session in one of the lovely cabanas and then just sat back and chilled in the open-air relaxation area, which is accented with a small pool.
There are lots of other things to like, of course — the beach club, the teppanyaki showplace are just a couple, and I cover it all in detail in TravelAge West. Click on the video below to get an inside look at the hotel.
